Kava Co-Chain Power-ups: DEX contracts, data indexing and querying, oracles, and the Ethereum bridge
The Ethereum Co-Chain Alpha was a smashing success!
By the numbers, the co-chain has already processed 164K+ transactions, producing 385K+ blocks with absolutely no downtime.
Kava’s speeding down the roadmap, gathering momentum with each day. For context, you can see the roadmap here: kava.io/roadmap
It’s time for Phase II — This article covers everything Kava’s Ethereum Co-Chain Beta unleashes for the network.
What’s Coming in Beta?
There’s a lot to be excited about with Kava’s Ethereum Co-Chain Beta. All at once, Kava becomes compatible with the latest and greatest AMM/DEX contracts, superior data indexing and querying via The Graph, and EVM-compatible Chainlink oracles.
Not only that, the testnet will be field-testing Kava’s Ethereum Bridge.
Below are just a few of the protocols unlocked by Kava’s Ethereum Co-Chain Beta testnet:
- Beefy Finance is a decentralized, multi-chain yield optimizer platform where users can earn compound interest on their crypto holdings. TVL on Beefy is over $1.05 billion, signifying enormous value for Kava!
- Multichain is the ultimate router for Web3. By allowing nearly all blockchains to interoperate, Multichain has become a powerhouse with daily volume crossing $100 million and a TVL of $6.53 billion.
- Autofarm is an ambitious one-stop DeFi suite composed of some of the finest DeFi products in the industry. Already spanning 14 different EVM-compatible chains and $183.05 million TVL, Autofarm will explode with Kava’s access to the Cosmos ecosystem.
- B.Protocol makes lending platforms more secure by eliminating the gas wars and shifting the miner’s profit to the users. With a TVL crossing $230.09 million, B.Protocol will unlock massive capital efficiency in the Kava Network.
More Validators = More Insight
Kava’s onboarding more validators to the Beta testnet to improve testing of real-world conditions.
Increasing validator diversity is a priority for Kava. Therefore, increasing validator community involvement with the Ethereum Co-Chain testnet is critical. These initial tests will help identify any potential issues before mainnet, ensuring the smoothest transition possible.

What is Kava Testing?
Below is a quick run-down of what’s happening in the Kava laboratory:
- Cross-protocol interaction — The Ethereum Co-Chain Beta continues stress-testing Kava’s incorporation of oracles like ChainLink. In addition, the Beta testnet prepares integration of data indexing and querying tools like The Graph for the Co-Chain Mainnet.
- Asset bridging — Cross-chain bridges have transformed the ways protocols interact and exchange value, particularly DeFi. With recent developments in bridging technology, Kava aims to ensure its Ethereum Bridge is highly secure and scalable.
- Core ecosystem infrastructure — Decentralized exchanges (DEXes) are at the heart of the crypto industry. They enable critical use-cases, such as yield aggregators, automated market makers (AMMs), and liquidity providers. The Beta testnet will ensure these critical pieces of infrastructure are ready for the mainnet.

Mainnet is Just Around the Corner
The Co-Chain Beta testnet puts the final touches on the new and improved Kava Network, delivering massive potential for users and developers.
An Ethereum Bridge, enhanced data indexing and querying, better oracle access, and a suite of tools unlocked by DEX contracts — all of this and more are in motion.
Kava is becoming a #BUIDLerOwned network where Ethereum meets Cosmos, delivering massive dev incentives, unlike any other ecosystem. If you’re a builder in DeFi or Web3, you can’t miss this.
Mark your calendars — Kava’s Co-Chain Mainnet launches on May 5th!
